Beth was tall as a tree and twice as smart.
She was fast as as a rhinoceros and half as pretty.
She was going places, gonna be somebody and leave her mark, but needed money to get started.

Beth: "Get me a job."
Employment specialist: "Okay. Please fill out this form listing your skills and interests."
Beth: "Look, buddy, your job is to get me a job. Don't make me do your work for you."
Employment specialist: "Okay. Burger Bar is hiring."
Beth: "Not that job, get me something better."
Employment specialist: "Okay. How about president of the United States?"
Beth: "Oh, please. Be realistic."
Employment specialist: "Now we're back to Burger Bar."

"Getting a job sucks," Beth realized, so she tried out another strategy.
She considered standing at a street corner and asking people for money, but that would take too long.
Instead, she decided to hang out near the 7-eleven and bum instant-win lottery tickets. It seemed promising! Every time she spotted someone with a ticket, she explained how much she needed a break and asked if she could have it, and almost every time, they gave it to her!
But after several weeks without a single jackpot, she gave up and went back to the drawing board.

That's the first line I thought of, and I liked it so much that I couldn't help trying to turn it into something. Maybe you'll have more success than me.
